The scent of tulips are drifting through Park Ave, I haven’t worn my parka in weeks (but let’s hope I didn’t just jinx it!), and everyone’s favorite procrastination activity is researching this year’s best rooftop bars and music festivals. That’s right! Spring is officially here, and I could not be happier. It’s the time of year when we are finally reminded what it’s like to spend time with our friends outside of the tiny living rooms and over-crowded bars we’ve been hiding in all winter. When we can finally take our lunch breaks outside, bust out the Ray Bans, and reintroduce our skin to some good-ole’ Vitamin D. But it’s also the time of year when many of us find ourselves standing in front of our closets thinking, Crap…I have no spring clothing to wear.
If you’re like me and can’t afford to run out and purchase a brand new spring wardrobe, this carefree season just become a little bit stressful. Flowing tops, fun prints, and sundresses are often what we gravitate toward when we head out to do some spring shopping, but focusing on basic accessories and staples, instead of statement pieces, can be a great way to make your money go further.
Basics like my denim jacket and JORD watch add a touch of spring to any outfit. I love how my Frankie 35 Dark Sandalwood & Slate watch from JORD is super light and versatile, which makes it perfect for running around the city after work and on weekends running errands, meeting friends, and enjoying the beautiful weather. The sandalwood is a great contrast to a lighter spring look, but still looks great with darker pieces as the weather and my wardrobe transition into a new season.
If you’re digging this JORD watch just as much as I am, you’re in luck! I’m partnering with JORD to host a giveaway for a $100 e-gift code to JORD’s website. But because everyone likes to be a winner, all entrants will receive a $25 consolation e-gift code at the close of the contest. The contest ends at 11:59 CST on May 14, 2017 and gift codes expire on August 13, 2017.
Enter the giveaway here! Good luck 🙂
Special thanks to JORD for collaborating with me on this post.
