Oh how I long for the summer vacations of my youth that seemed to last and last… This summer has totally flown by, and I can’t believe we are nearing the end! With limited time left in the season, I plan to go out with a bang and live up every free moment, so I made a list of things I want to do before our Instagram feeds start filling up with way too many Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Follow along on my Instagram to see if I’m able to complete the whole list 😉

1. Day Trip to the Beach

Over Memorial Day Weekend, my friends and I took a day trip to Rockaway Beach and enjoyed pina coladas and time in the sun. With my unlimited Metro Card, I have no excuse not to spend the hour or so it takes to make the trek to the Rockaways at least once more this summer. But this time, I will be sure to reapply my sunscreen a bit more often 😉

2. Rooftop Season’s Final Hooray!

There is nothing a New Yorker loves more than drinking and eating on a rooftop. To commemorate the end of this overcrowded and sweaty phenomenon, I plan to have at least one more rooftop experience before we call summer a wrap. Whether I end up shelling out $16 for a cocktail or spend a weekend afternoon grilling on a friend’s rooftop is TBD. But the obligatory final rooftop view photo is a must.

3. Rock My Summer Favorites

We all have those go-to pieces in our closet that make us feel extra confident. With a transition of weather coming our way, now is the time to make sure our favorite outfits breathe the summer air once more before they are tucked away until next year. My Fewl swimsuit is definitely one of those pieces! If you’re looking for a great swimsuit to cap off the summer, be sure to visit Fewl Swimwear and use my code ‘TATUM’ for 30% off a purchase of $40 or more!

4. Turn Up the Summer Jams

Ever since my freshmen year of college, I have made a Spotify Playlist for each new season. I love being able to go back to my Spring 2013 playlist and feel like I am sitting in my old dorm room, studying for Economics, and thinking about boys 😉 My Summer 2017 Playlist is full of the upbeat, carefree songs that pair perfectly with this season. During these last couple of weeks, I plan to turn up those jams as often as possible! Because in five years, I want future Tatum to look back nostalgically on this summer with the fondest memories.

5. Take Advantage of the Light

Summertime spoils us with its long days and nights, but we can’t take them for granted! For many of us, our commutes will eventually become darker and that post-work drink with friends will start to sound a little less appealing. My goal is to take advantage of the longer days and make plans with friends to go for walks, stop by an outdoor happy hour, or hang in a park.
